When you've been friends with someone for more than 10 years, there's no way he or she doesn't know the real you. It would be great to stay close to your friend and see him or her whenever you want, but sometimes life has other plans and you end up far apart. Being friends for more than 10 years has its advantages, and one of them is that you can count on the foundation of the friendship to remain intact even if you don't see each other for a long time. 3. You can always count on each other, even if you don't speak for weeks.
The good thing about long-term friendships is that you both know that sometimes you're too busy to answer the phone yourself, and there are no hard feelings about that. Your friend won't be mad about it, and sometimes it can take weeks before you both have a good conversation. And when you finally do, it will be as if nothing has changed and you will pick up where you left off.
4. You both know each other's deepest secrets.
There are a few reasons why your friendship has stood the test of time, and that's because you understand each other so well. If someone has been friends with you for a long time, you should tell everything and reveal all your deepest secrets. You're open with each other, and even if you're not the sensitive type, you probably tell your friend more than most people know about you.
5. They know your most embarrassing stories.
10 years in one period. And during that time, you've probably been there to witness some truly embarrassing moments. But unfortunately, friends never let you forget these embarrassing stories – even if they happened ages ago! Your boyfriend will always be there to remind you of the stupid thing you did, whether you like it or not...
6. You have a lot of crazy stories about your past adventures.
There was probably a time when you had a crazy adventure together, and the good memories will always come back to you. You may be misleading other lives now, but you will always remember the "good times" when you did crazy (and sometimes stupid) things together. Graduations, job promotions, weddings and birthdays: you've both been there for all of life's big moments. Even if you're super busy these days, you definitely can't miss your best friend's big moment. Either way, you'll always have time to get together and celebrate the things that matter.
8. They've seen you at your best and your worst.
Your friend knows the real version of you. Some people may only know the tip of the iceberg, but your friend has seen you in your rawest, unfiltered form. They have been with you through the hard times and they have been with you when you shined the brightest. And that's why your friendship is special, because you know it's true.
9. They will be there for you for life.
Something is lost now – you're in for the long haul! You've been together through thick and thin, and since you've come this far, your friendship will probably last a while.
