Tupelo, Miss. (WCBI) - A Tupelo Pastor, who taught a young Elvis Presley that his first chords on the guitar are honored with an exhibition at the Convention and Visitors agency.

Pastor Frank Smith is given the honor of teaching Elvis how to play guitar at the age of ten.

Smith often talked about his friendship with Elvis.

Smith's daughter says her father has always taken the time to help others

"With my father, whether he took care of his family, used to church members, his church Pastee, he got up every day, he lived and strived to make things away, he was just such a great, divine man and father."

The exhibition is open until the end of the year.
