In an interview from a few years ago, Elvis' one true love and wife, Priscilla Presley, shared a little about the King (and his pre-show routine). She explained: "Elvis said the eyes are so expressive. When he was young, he was an usher at one of the theaters in Memphis and he studied all the actors who had their lives - Tony Curtis is one. Tony Curtis taught him a bitsoort eyeliner, a little bit, above his eye. He loved the art of deviating from what he considered realistic and then of course adding a little bit more to give it that little bit extra.”
