The Nintendo Switch console can be left docked when not in use to ensure it is fully charged.
Docking the console or plugging in the AC adapter directly to charge before the battery is fully used will only count as a partial charge cycle.
Leaving the console on the dock or plugging it directly into the AC adapter overnight, or beyond the point where the battery is fully charged, will not cause any damage to the battery.
