What are Shane's cardiac events?
Here's everything you need to know about Stardew Valley Shane's heart events and the real answers to his questions.
- Two hearts
- Head to Cindersap Forest between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM.
- Four hard ones
- You can enter Marnie's Ranch at any time.
- Six hearts
- Go to Cindersap Forest between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM if it is stormy or raining. You find Shane lying on the edge of a cliff, surrounded by beer cans. He'll tell you he's miserable and ask why he shouldn't just roll away. None of the four dialogue options will affect your friendship with him. After this, he will ask you to take him to the hospital and the next day he will come to you and tell you that he has to go to counseling and apologize for the night before. You can choose from three dialogue options:
- 'I'm glad I was there to help'– +10 friendship points
- "I'm just glad you're still here."– +10 friendship points
- 'You needed a serious wake-up call'– -10 friendship points
- Seven hearts
- After the six heart event, you can enter Marnie's Ranch when Shane is home, or head into town between 10am and 4pm on a sunny day (requires two hearts with both Emily and Chris)
- Eight of hearts
- Enter Marnie's Ranch when Shane is home.
- Ten of hearts
- Leave your house before 6:30 AM and then go to the bus stop between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
- Fourteen hearts
- Go to town every day except Friday between 8am and 5pm. For the next two parts, you can go to town on any of the following consecutive days. On the third day you wait outside the salon with Marnie and Shane goes inside. You walk in expecting to find him drinking, but discover that he only drinks Joja Cola and plays arcade games to help him fight the urge to drink. You have two dialogue options, neither of which affects your friendship level.

How to Marry Shane from Stardew Valley
As with all Stardew Valley bachelors and bachelorettes, to marry Shane you must give him a bouquet of eight hearts and then purchase a mermaid pendant from the Old Mariner by the tide pools on the beach. The Old Mariner only comes when it rains, and the pendant will cost you 5,000 grams.
You can give Shane the mermaid pendant after giving him ten hearts, and the wedding will take place on the morning three days after your proposal.
Once married, Shane will quit his job at Jojamart and move into the farm and set up a room to the right of your bedroom. He also wants to set up a small chicken coop where he visits his pet chicken Charlie. Shane leaves the farm on Mondays (to visit Marnie) and Fridays. On rainy days he offers you presents, and if he stays in the farm all day he can make you a snack.
What happens to Stardew Valley Shane and Jas?
At times, the complex relationships between the characters can be quite confusing and even unexpected. This applies to the relationship between Shane and Jas. It is revealed that at some point before the events of the game, both of Jas' parents died and Shane, Jas' godfather, took her in. They then moved to Shane's Aunt Marnie's farm, presumably so Marnie can help raise the small child.
