Where is game save data stored?
On the Nintendo Switch, game data is stored in the console's system memory. This does not change whether downloadable software or software from a game card is being played.
Game save data cannot be saved or copied to a microSD card.
What happens if there is no more space in system memory for your game's save data?
You shouldFree up space by going to System Preferences and then selecting Data Management.
A Nintendo Account is required to use online services on Nintendo Switch consoles (such as purchases from the Nintendo Switch eShop). A Nintendo Account is also used for certain web services (such as My Nintendo) and can be used with smart device applications (such as Super Mario Run).
