Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) - Zephen Xaver, the man who killed five women in a Sebring Bank, will learn whether he will spend life in prison or will be sentenced to death in the coming weeks.

Last year, Xaver argued guilty of five censuses of the first murder of shooting and killing the women in a Suntrust bank in 2019.

Even after years of delays, the families of the victims still have to wait to close.

According to a new law in Florida, the jury does not have to make a unanimous decision to judge Xaver to death.

The defense lawyers are expected to ask the jury's softness with regard to the history of mental disorders of Xaver.

The victims of Xaver include customer Cynthia Watson (65) who was married for less than a month;;Bank Teller Debra Cook, a 54 -year -old mother of two and grandmother;and banker Jessica Montague, 31, a mother of one and stepmother of four.

Xaver moved to Sebring in 2018 from the neighborhood of South Bend, Indian. In 2014, contact with his director at the high school police after Xaver told others that he had dreamed of hurt his classmates.

"I just killed five people."

In the courtroom, Kristen Johnson, the 911 operator, who made a phone call from Xaver after the murders, heard the stand..

Xaver called 911 from a back room in the couch and refused to open doors for law enforcement.

He said he held the gun against his head, "kept the voices still."

"I just killed five people," said Xaver Johnson."I didn't think I could do it."

He quietly answered Johnson's questions and said he killed the women because he "felt like (he) could do that."He described where the victims were still breathing before he said he would turn the gun for himself.

Xaver revealed that he terminated his job at the Florida Department of Corrections two weeks before the shooting.

"The voices asked me to kill the prisoners," said Johnson.

Despite his psychological problems and resignation of the army in 2016, Florida Xaver worked in a prison near Sebring in November 2018.The army, was a "way to kill people and get rid of it."He was fired after three months.

About five hours before the murders, Xaver started a long, intermittent SMS interview with a friend in Connecticut and told her "This is the best day of my life", but refuses to say why.

Fifteen minutes before the shooting, he texted her: "I die today.".See the news after me. "

Then he went into the couch, a sweatshirt that covers his vest.

When she returns, he orders the women on the floor with the front down.

He had been on the couch for less than four minutes.

The police spoke with Xaver for about an hour before a SWAT team entered the bank.

Shortly after the shooting, the bank was demolished.
