iPhone 15 effect: Apple stops iPhone 12? Checklist NOW (2024)

The iPhone 14 may be the newest Apple smartphone on the market, but the iPhone 15 is definitely the talk of the town. There have been a lot of leaks and rumors about the upcoming lineup, and they have painted a good picture of what the phone could potentially be. But while on the one hand there is excitement, there is also a bit of disappointment, as this would also be the time when Apple would inevitably phase out some of its older smartphones and they will no longer be available for purchase. iPhone 12 could be one of them. But which other smartphones are likely to disappear in the fall of 2023? Let's see.

The currentAppelqueue up

These are smartphones that can be purchased directly from Apple's online website or through Apple stores around the world. And every year Apple removes some smartphone models as they introduce new ones. Are you unsure about which mobile phone to buy?

Which iPhones may be discontinued after the iPhone 15 launch?

The most obvious is the iPhone 12. Apple never has iPhones in stores that are older than three years old, and as soon as the iPhone 15 hits the shelves, the iPhone 12 will be the first to go out.

The other two models likely to be discontinued are the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple has discontinued previous years' Pro models as new flagship smartphones have been launched for several years, and we don't think that will change this year.

Now when we come to the harder part,iPhone 13mini and iPhone 14 Plus may also be discontinued. It is known that the mini models never sold much, which is why Apple has decided not to include them in the iPhone 14 series. However, an argument could be made that Apple might take $100 off the price and make it available for $499, which would be a unique price.

The iPhone 14 Plus first launched last year, so no one is really sure what Apple can do with it. But there are two reasons why this can be omitted. First, there's the screen size. Apple might feel that the iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max's three 6.7-inch screens might be a bit too much. And if Apple drops the price by $100, it will cost the same as the new iPhone 15 (assuming no price increases), which could be counterproductive for Apple.

However, we will still have to wait for the launch of the iPhone 15 series to really know which smartphones will disappear.
