2. Transition to chicken layer feeding for a week.
When the birds are 18 weeks old, or when the first egg arrives, you gradually switch your laying hens to a complete low food.It is important to make the transition over time to prevent digestive disorder.
At our Missouri farm we discovered that it is best to make transitions of chicken feeds in the course of time instead of at the same time.We mix the start -Up production feed and low food evenly for four or five days.If birds are used to crumble, start with a crumbled layer. The same applies to pellets.Jo more similar to the two chicken food, the smoother the transition will be.
Many chickens eat the mixed feed without noticing a difference. When you put chickens, eat both feeds, you can stop feeding starter production and making the full switch for all low nutrition. It is important to give your birds enough time to adjust the new diet. Most birds will adjust within a few days, but some can take a few weeks to completely change their new diet.
3. Keep chicken food consistent.
When the transition to low nutrition is completed, it is best to maintain a routine.
We recommend offering free election strokes for chickens and changing the food every morning and evening.Place the chickens that eat around 0.25 pounds complete food every day is equal to half a cup.
If birds are free, offer complete low food before they go out in the morning. This helps them to consume the essential nutrients before they fill in less nutritional insects and plants.
It is important that at least the full feed poses90 percent of the chicken dietWe introduce the full layer of food to our garden because they have been formulated to offer all the nutrients that require the right levels. It is reassuring to know that every bite of food is balanced to keep our chickens healthy and to produce quality.
