Adam WarlockInThanosthere are two of themmost powerful characters in the Marvel Universe, and their paths have crossed many times in the comics. Both characters possess godlike powers and abilities, making them nearly invincible in battle. But when it comes to a one-on-one battle, who would come out on top? Both have practicedInfinity gauntlet, and both have an understanding of the universe on a completely different level. When it comes to a fight between Adam Warlock and Thanos, who will win?
Thanos wins in a battle against Adam Warlock. He has superior strength, speed and endurance, and it can be argued that his powers and abilities also surpass those of Adam Warlock. Although the two met in the memorable Infinity Saga showdown, it wasn't Warlock who ended Thanos' conquest. It was the Nebula or, depending on how you look at it, the Infinity Gauntlet itself. In terms of brute force in the MCU, Thanos would also overpower Adam Warlock. Victory is only possible if he can outsmart him, as the Avengers did during Endgame.
I understand that this could be a touchy fight due to the common perception that Adam Warlock has what it takes to take on Thanos and walk away victorious. But through the careful analysis of our heroes in terms of powers, skills, speed, durability, strength and intelligence, we will show you why we came to our conclusion and why Adam could never overcome WarlockGal Titan. Powers and capabilities
Thanos can harvest, harness and absorb energy at near peak levels. He can manipulate magnetic, elemental, cosmic and soul energies. With his unique control of time and space, he was able to take down the strongest characters in the Marvel Universe. Only. Thanos can manipulate souls and minds.
He can use a unique ability to manipulate matter and control biological processes. No stone is left unturned when Thanos is close. He is especially gifted in mystical matters. Although no one would exactly call Thanosa great magician, he is quite capable of wreaking havoc with curses and spells.
In the MCU it's the same, as it's clear that no creature, character, or entity can stand in Thanos' way without being defeated. Thanks to access to two stones, Thanos became the strongest being in the universe – this was a comment from Bruce Banner. Gamora, on the other hand, noted that Thanos with three stones equates to a threat they cannot stop. Ultimately, Thanos had access to all six stones.
With all six Infinity Stones in his possession, Thanos gained control over reality. He could manipulate time, energy, space and even souls. He was nearly omnipotent and could wipe out half the universe with a snap of his fingers. This is considered one of the most deadly and destructive feats.
Adam Warlock was created to be the embodiment of human perfection with a special physiology and connection to the soul gem, making him one of the most powerful beings in the universe. He can do cosmic andelemental energiesand quantum magic to manipulate space-time.
He can also create energy constructs for various purposes. He is a powerhouse when it comes to energy projection. However, we can expect his powers in the MCU to be similar to those in the comicshis origin story may be slightly differentand the replacement for the Soul Gem isn't ready yet. Yet in the trailers and photos you can see that he has a pearl on his forehead.
Even though Thanos is afraid of Warlock, and even though Thanos was ultimately defeated by Warlock in the end (though in a sense it wasn't a true defeat), it wasn't because Thanos was overpowered. He was simply outsmarted. This point goes to Thanos.

Strength and endurance
The full extent of Thanos' power is unknown, and he has many feats to prove it, both in the comics and the MCU. He managed to take down and overpower the strongest Marvel could throw at him with his physical strength alone. Thanos lifted the Galactus Engine and retrieved it from the depths of Ego, the Living Planet. He also managed to destroy an entire planet by letting himself into it. Its uniquely abnormal physiology also does not produce fatigue toxins. This means he has virtually unlimited stamina at his disposal.
Even in the MCU, Thanos showed incredible feats of strength. He broke Loki's neck with one hand. He shattered the Tesseract without being injured. He was seen as overpowering, throwing and steamrollingthe strongest Avengers. Without the aid of his physical strength.
Despite being ranked Class 4 in strength, Adam Warlock has demonstrated the ability to increase his strength to a level of Class 40. He has shown incredible strength, being able to manipulate heavy objects and hold his own in battles against some of the strongest characters in the Marvel Universe. He's been able to lift and throw characters like thisThorInHulkwith ease.
It's uncertain to what extent this power will be portrayed in the MCU version of Adam Warlock, but it's unlikely that it will surpass the power of characters like Thanos.

Sweetie
Despite his bulky body, Thanos repeatedly proved he could reach speeds faster than light. He can fly, he canteleport, and his combat reflexes are almost unparalleled. In some cases, Thanos proved ubiquitous.
In the MCU, Thanos has shown a remarkable ability to respond quickly to various attacks, evidenced by his ability to surprise Thor, dodge all of Hulk's attacks, and show great agility even when fighting opponents much smaller than he. His speed feats in the MCU are nowhere near those in the comics, but the same can be said for any other character.
Adam Warlock can move at high speeds, possibly reaching the speed of light if conditions permit. He can fly by canceling the Earth's gravity and instantly teleporting himself when necessary. He can cover great distances, which is reflected in his quick reaction time and movements in battle. We're not entirely sure how much this will translate to the MCU, but we can bet that Thanos and Warlock's speeds would be equal.

Sustainability
Thanos is highly resistant to all forms of damage. His eternal physiology makes him immune to toxins, diseases and toxins. Even if something hurts Thanos, he is extremely fasthealing factorwill sort it out pretty quickly. In some cases, Thanos was prevented from dying by Death itself. Even if something kills him, it's only a matter of time before he comes back to life.
Speaking of the MCU, we saw how durable Thanos was when he managed to wear the Infinity Gauntlet without any serious consequences. This means that Thanos has absorbed and refueled enough power to power an entire continent for a week.
Adam Warlock himself is highly invulnerable. He managed to take hits from some of the biggest Marvel powerhouses in the comics, and his unique physiology makes him highly resistant to most forms of damage. Like Thanos, Warlock also has a trick up his sleeve. If the Warlock is seriously damaged, it can always retreat to its cocoon and make a full recovery. Warlock also repeatedly resurrected himself after death.
We saw the cocoon in the trailerGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and we can expect him to use it for regenerative purposes as well.
So the point goes to both.
Points: Adam Warlock (2:4) Thanos
Intelligent
Thanos is known for his exceptional intelligence and ability to predict outcomes. From an early age he was recognized as one of the most intelligent beings among the Eternals, if not the most intelligent. He could foresee the collapse of his home planet Titan due to overpopulation. Furthermore, he used his keen perception and calculated thinking to evaluate the actions and motivations of those around him.
Adam Warlock is also extremely intelligent and can understand reality very differently. Warlock managed to outsmart Thanos several times, so the point goes to him.

Combat skills
Thanos is an expert in combat, in all kinds of fighting styles and with all kinds of weapons at his disposal. He masters the use of weapons, like his double-edged sword, and has defeated some of the strongest martial artists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He defeated Hulk in hand-to-hand combat and quickly overpowered Black Panther. It's hard to beat Thanos when he's not using weapons, but when he's armed with blades, he's nearly impossible to stop.
In the MCU we'll likely see Adam Warlock use higher level fighting skills, but in the comics he's nowhere near the level that Thanos is. Warlock never had to "learn to fight" simply because he has numerous other cosmic powers that allow him to overpower even the strongest entities.
That said, Thanos is one of themdeadliest warriors in the known universe, and the point goes to him.

Adam Warlock vs. Thanos: Who would win?
If anything, Thanos would overpower Adam Warlock, both in comics and in the MCU. His powers, abilities and physical attributes are on a different scale. In the cases where Warlock defeated Thanos, he was never alone, and it was never because he was the stronger of the two. We've yet to see how Adam Warlock will be presented in the MCU, but we're confident he won't be able to surpass Infinity Gauntlet Thanos anytime soon.
