Researchers from Semyung University in South Korea conducted research48 participants(24 men and 24 women) and the relationship between chewing and gender. They attached electrodes to the test subjects' jaw muscles and monitored how quickly the different sexes swiped away 152 grams of rice. It turns out that men actually eat much faster than women – almost twice as fast. Why? Two reasons: men take larger bites than women, and they also generally chew their food faster.
