Cadbury Dairy Milk continues to dominate sales of chocolate products.

The brand grew 2.8% last year as it built on an exceptional 2020, which saw it move an additional 71.7 million packages.

2. Milky Way Galaxy

Value:£202.3 million. (+6.7%)

Second-placed Galaxy, meanwhile, is starting to claw back some of the sales lost during the disastrous 2020, in which supply problems during the first national lockdown played into the hands of rivals such as Cadbury.

In December, Galaxy owner Mars unveiled a major rebrand that it said would "modernize the brand into a new era."

Value:£185.9 million. (+23.1%)

The star player of the past year is undoubtedly Lindt Lindor in third place, who has added over £30 million in additional turnover. Lindt reported strong half-year sales in July and said its Lindor and Excellence lines were the main drivers of sales growth in the period.
