As a resident of the Sunshine State, it was fun to find the data here to write this article about which cities are the most livable. The answers may surprise you!https://lnkd.in/eVyBFhFQ

I am proud of my alma mater for participating in this important academic partnership to offset 100% of campus electricity use with solar energy. Go Davidson!

I just finished teaching a career planning course atDenisa Metko, MHR, SHRM-CPat Rollins College, I think this is a great "cheat sheet" that anyone can use to prepare for a job interview. I never thought to make the "greatest strength" question directly relevant to the position you're interviewing for, but it's great advice!

I see many students feeling like they're going to high school straight out of college with no clarity on their career goals... and many of our alumni advise them to wait a few years and work first so they can have a get a better idea of the type of degree they want to obtain. need. This is good advice on what you can do instead!

I had so much fun teaching the Rollins College Career & Life Planning class, Making Any Major Marketable, this semesterDenisa Metko, MHR, SHRM-CP. We had great discussions with our students about designing your best life, met great guest speakers, and saw so much progress as our students worked on their elevator pitches, cover letters, resumes, LinkedIn pages, networking skills, etc. I'm fired. about the energy and skills our students will bring to the workplace! I love this piece about the contributions that anthropology – and anthropologists – can make to a workplace. Cultural intelligence, empathy, the ability to listen to (and synthesize) the opinions of diverse stakeholders, and collaboration are skills that are fundamental to our training as anthropologists. “Anthropology, as the only truly holistic social science, views workers and customers in a single framework.” Correct!

Remembers Paul Farmer – an anthropologist who was also a physician and founder of 'Partners In Health', a non-profit organization that trains community members to improve healthcare in their own communities. The Netflix documentary “Bending The Arc” tells the story of how Farmer contributed to healthcare equity and changed the way things were done in Haiti and other communities around the world.
