Avoid/limiting food intake disruption (ARFID)
Arfid, when someone avoids certain foods, is limited how much they eat or both do.
Believe in weight or body shape are no reasons why people develop Arfid.
Possible causes of Arfid include:
- Negative feelings about the odor, taste or structure of certain foods
- A response to an earlier experience with food that was disturbing, for example
- don't feel hungry or just a lack of interest in food
