Since he was eight years old, Truett Cathy has embodied the feel-good power of customer service. From selling bottles of Coca-Cola door-to-door as a young boy to delivering newspapers, Truett was constantly looking for ways to show care through the little things that can make someone's day.
When Truett and his brother Ben opened a 24-hour restaurant called the Dwarf Grill (now known as The Dwarf House®restaurant), their mission to put people first and develop relationships with customers can be seen both inside and outside the restaurant. Years later, while visiting a luxury hotel, Truett noticed that an employee responded to his thanks with a sincere "my pleasure." Truett wanted all of his guests to feel the same special way he did when he heard the phrase. When he got home, Truett decided to ask local Chick-fil-A owner-operators, team members and employees to help implement the implementation, responding with “my pleasure” every time someone said thank you.
Over the years, 'my pleasure' has become much more than an expression; it represents Chick-fil-A's commitment to creating remarkable experiences, one interaction at a time.
