Apple has labeled the iPhone 6, released in 2014, as a "vintage" product.
Apple considers a product vintage when it stopped selling it "more than 5 and less than 7 years ago." Apple considered a product obsolete when it stopped distributing it more than seven years ago, and has just added to itiPhone 6 added to the list of vintage products.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus on September 14, 2014. They had 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screens respectively. They shipped with iOS 8 and featured Apple's A8 chip and M8 co-processor. They were lighter, thinner and had significantly larger screens than the iPhone 5, with a much higher resolution too. Together with iOS 8, Apple improved payments with Apple Pay thanks to the new NFC chip in the models.

Via 9to5MacApple had already labeled the iPhone 6 Plus as a vintage product, even though it was released together with the iPhone 6. This is because Apple continued to sell the iPhone 6 in some regions after the Plus model was discontinued. The last version of iOS that can run on an iPhone 6 is iOS 12 from 2018.
Apple still occasionally repairs the iPhone 6 and provides repair services and support. For example, supplied by Applea rare patch for iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 5s last monthdue to a critical bug in Safari's WebKit engine under attack. This fix came in iOS 12.5.6 and was backported from iOS 15.6.1.
The iPhone 6 was also part of Apple's subsequent battery fiasco. In iOS 10.2.1, released in 2016, Applemade changes to prevent them from closing unexpectedlyand dealing with battery aging and faced accusations that it was deliberately slowing down its devices over time. Until 2018, Apple still reported iPhone sales on a quarterly basis. In the first quarter of 2015, the first full quarter since the release of the iPhone 6, it reported record profits thanks to74 million iPhones sold, an increase of 51 million from the first quarter of 2014.
