This is caused by a fungal infection that brings the crops to the pain and inflamed.
Symptoms
- The crop feels like a balloon that has filled with water.
- Classic sour crop has a vicious scent and the canceled liquid is often brown, although this is not always the case.
- The chicken can often turn its head.
Causes
- Moisture or robbery.
- After a course with antibiotics.
- Sour crop is often secondary to other problems and can repeat itself if the underlying cause is not detected.

- If veterinary support cannot be found, a housewife can be offered as follows:
- Remember food and water for 24 hours to let the crop empty as as naturally as possible.
- The dose of apple cider vinegar is sprayed on an empty crop (diluted to the manufacturer's recommendations), which is injected into the side of the mouth.
- 12 hours after the Apple Cider vinegar administration, a few sips of erratic water can be offered together with a small amount (teaspoon) soft solid food.
- Monitor to arrange the sour crop, does not return and gradually builds up to normal rations of feed and water.
Prevention
- Shop feed in weather -resistant, rodent -proof containers.
- Use a probiotic after some antibiotic.
