Wat is Pepto-Bismol?

Pepto bismol is used for treatmentdiarrhea, traveling diarrhea,nausea,,Gastric acid, indigestie, gas ofBad stomach.

Pepto bismol works as an antacida to reduce excess stomach acid and to facilitate discomfort.

Pepto bismol can be taken as a tablet or liquid, depending on what you prefer.

Warnings

You should not use a pepto bismol if you have bleeding problems, blood in your stool or if you are allergicaspirinor othersSalicylater.

You should not use a pepto bismol for oneswearUnless your stomach ulcer is caused byH. PyloriAnd your doctor has prescribed Pepto-Bismol as part of modified fishmut-confirming inheritable therapy (MBCQT).

Can cause the use of this medicine in a child or teenager with flu symptoms or chickenpoxA serious or deadly condition called Reye's syndrome.

Before using this medicine

You should not use a pepto bismol if you are allergic to the fishing cap SUBalicylate, or if you have:

• black or bloody stool;
• A stomach ulcer (unless your doctor has prescribed Pepto-Bismol as part of modified fishmut-confirming quadrupled therapy);
• bleeding problems;
• If you are allergicSalicylaterSuch as Aspirin, Doan's extra power, Salflex, Tricosal and others.

Can cause the use of this medicine in a child or teenager with flu symptoms or chickenpoxA serious or deadly condition called Reye's syndrome.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist if this medicine is safe to use if you have or have ever had it:

• Slime in your stool;or

• If you currently have a fever.

Ask a doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not give this medication to a child under the age of 12 without medical advice.

Pepto bismol can contain phenylalanine and can be harmful if you have phenylketonuria (pku).

How should I take Pepto-Bismol?

Take this medicine exactly as stated on the label or as prescribed by your doctor.
