Today we are launching new functions, a completely redesigned mobile app and a developed brand identity that brings us closer to a future in which makers are in control and thrive the right community.

Patreon started a goal ten years ago: few makers paid.

It was a time when someone was a click from sharing their biggest work on the internet, but very few people could really make money from it.With their greatest fans.

Our next chapter is about giving makers even more.

Today we are introducing a re -conceived Patreon with community chats, trade, a completely redesigned mobile app and a new brand identity.

1. Makers need their own worlds

Makers earn more than just a copy-and-paste page on the internet.explained, their colors and how theirMessages.

Amanda Seales uses Patreon to build her community, run her membership company and sell her political comedy -docor directly to her fans.

We have even repeated the basis on our platform, so that makers can use it as they will do earlier this year.We have expanded PatreonSo makers can gain access to our community insight, release and trade tools, regardless of whether they want to perform a paid membership.

Today we make this opportunity available for every maker. Now fans can become a member of a maker and makers for free to work out the relationship with these fans in a way that is nowhere else on the internet.

Makers with early access have already welcomed more than 160,000 new fans in recent months.Worlds past the songThousands of free members have given access to live streams, delivery transcriptions and more, while only storing their exclusive podcast on the four -page for paying members.

At Patreon, Kamauu fans welcome community for free and they share exclusive work with paying members.

2. Makers must have control over their business

Between advertisem*nt income, brand partnerships and platform funds, makers have more ways than ever to be paid, but most of these income flows do not come directly from fans.

We believe that the best way to build a sustainable future for makers is to give them the direct line to the people who love their work.directly from their community. We introduced thisHandelIn July: a new way for makers to sell individual videos, audio and downloadable files to someone, regardless of whether or not they are members.

Emma Demuth, host of Royals from Malibu Podcast, uses his Patreon store to sell downloadable items.

We already see makers asAmanda Seales,,AchewoodInAlmost thatUse their own stores as successful premiere function-length specialties, publish Zines and share Watch-Along tracks. And more than half of all the sale of digital product on Patreon comes from non-members, which means that many makers create new connections with fans.We roll out to every maker of Patreon.

3. No one is allowed to get between makers and their fans

Makers and fans must have a place where they can build communities together..

MetChats and membership Profiles, it's finally possible. Now makers and fans have dedicated spaces for group interviews outside DMS and comments.

Since Podcast Sophia is organizing and Cinzia has launched a PatreonGirl's bathroomPodcast, they wanted fans to feel that they were hanging on their best friends, so it was only wise to name their community in the group. Now the secrets of their fans wasted, advice and gossiping always got in the chat.

Chelsea Devantez uses community chats to contact her members and to talk about the latest episodes of her podcast.

4. The biggest fans deserve the best

There are fans, and then there are fans who stay until midnight to get the latest drop.18.00 to get the best chair in the house and are made entirely out of merches as cupboards.

When we sat down for oneOf app, that is exactly who we had in mind.Occasionally rollers can be great for relaxed consumers, but they don't work for the real fans.Get access to things they actually want to see.

Instead of falling into an overload of content, logs into members and immediately see everything they want.

Ross Tran has a membership of Patreon, where he shares exclusive process videos, photos and more with his greatest fans.

When members find something they love, they can roll through, answer and make comments about videos, podcasts, photos and more without ever leaving the position.Everything they have had so far and stand in line what they want to view now.

A look at the dynamic new logo and brand from Patreon.

5. Our brand must be just as expressive as the makers who represents it

Today we are launching ourGenimagined fire, including a dynamic new logo and word brand and new approaches to typography, color and photography. It reflects the developing creative landscape of today.

A better future for makers and fans

In the following decade and then we continue to bring makers and fans even closer, because we think this is how we build the best possible future.Good luck on their own conditions with the people who matter the most.
