call shy. So it couldn't have enjoyed the ink it got this month
when an unusual defect appeared on one of its products.
According to United Press International, a man in Niskayuna, N.Y.
tore open a bag of peanut M&M's and found - extraordinary
red, brown, orange, green and yellow candies - an "albino" M&M -
bears the trademarked "M" logo, but no color.
“That confuses me. The first little creature that came out of the bag was a
snow-white M&M,” says the man, George Vorsheim, manager of a
business in suburban Albany. 'I asked around. No one had ever seen one
earlier." Apparently neither of them had anything on M&M/Mars. According to UPI,
only two other albino M&Ms had ever been reported, but the company did
