Apple plans to do thatintroduction of larger screen sizes of 6.3 and 6.9 inchesforiPhone 16 Proand Pro Max in 2024, but the screen size change will be limited to the Pro models. The standardiPhone 16Models are expected to feature the same 6.1- and 6.7-inch screen sizes that Apple has used in recent years.
The information comes from display analyst Ross Young, who often shares precise insights into Apple's plans. Young said earlier this week that the Pro models will have larger screen sizes, and he confirmed thatMacRygterthat these larger screens will be exclusive to Pro and won't come to the more affordable iPhone 16 and 16 Plus.
According to Young, the screen sizes of 6.3 and 6.9 inches have been rounded up, and more information about the specific dimensions will be forthcomingWeekly conference viewin Los Angeles on May 23.
At approximately 6.3 and 6.9 inches, the larger screen sizes planned for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be the largest screens Apple has introduced yet. ThatiPhone 14The Pro and Pro Max have screen sizes of 6.1 and 6.7 inches, also the expected sizes for this yeariPhone 15 Proen iPhone 15 Pro Max.
A screen size adjustment suggests the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max could see a design overhaul, a drop in bezels, or both.
