Final thoughts
The iPhone 14 Pro offers a host of upgrades over the standard iPhone 14. With just a $200 difference for a brighter screen with ProMotion and always-on functionality, Dynamic Island, the A16 Bionic chip and a radically different rear camera setup, not to mention longer battery life and a premium design, many customers in I can justify getting the iPhone 14 Pro over the iPhone 14. Due to the scope and breadth of the iPhone 14 Pro's improvements and features, customers should actively opt for the high-end model in most cases.
It's only worth getting the iPhone 14 instead of the iPhone 14 Pro if you want a lighter device, don't care about the "Pro" rear camera setup or features like ProMotion and the Always-on display, or if you can't afford the extra $200 to upgrade to the high-end model. In this case you still benefit from shared features such as Emergency SOS via satellite. The iPhone 14 is still a versatile device, especially for customers coming from a much older model.

This is a reasonable, rational concern. But to Apple's credit, they support their devicesa lot ofyears. For example, iOS 16 is supported all the way back to the iPhone 8, released in 2017. That's pretty solid. It is likely that 14/Plus will be supported for more than 5 years. That's a long time to keep a phone...
Well, we've been looking at our budget here in our household and we're trying to save money where we can. We used to upgrade our phones every four years, but we want to switch to a six-year cycle instead. We can't be the only ones thinking about this. These things are expensive, and if it still works well, and you can still get the latest iOS with the latest security patches, and you can still run the latest apps, and you're not a techie or someone with superficial friends, then that's not it. the case. It seems like a huge sacrifice to make the device last longer, especially considering the maturity of the iPhone's features at this point. This includes people in a hand-me-down system with a family member who is part of what we do. So I think that healthcare is more relevant than it seems at first glance.
If you calculate by calculating the price of each unit per year of support instead of the total price, having one less year of support for the non-Pro significantly reduces the already small price gap between the two phones. And with how much they differ in specs this year, the non-Pro seems like a rip-off to me. I agree that it largely depends on the person, and that of course assumes that they will actually receive 1 year less support, which we don't know and really can't know.

As for me, I am very concerned about the use of last year's chip in the non-Pro iPhone 14. I think that it will not be supported in new iOS releases for so long, making it necessary to implement it sooner replace and turn on wonders how much money you actually save by buying them.

The regular 14 is a good device in itself, but just too expensive and IMO not worth it if you already have an iPhone with an A15 chip (13, 13 Mini and SE3). If they had at least put in a 90Hz refresh rate display, the value proposition would be much higher.
