Based on our team's first-hand vaping experience, an Elf Bar 600 should last heavy vapers about a day, and a casual vaper at least two, maybe three days. An Elf Bar BC5000, advertised for 5000 puffs, will last up to a week for heavy vapers and a casual vaper up to two weeks, maybe longer.

The lifespan of a disposable vape is always measured in puffs. Each disposable product is therefore advertised with an estimated number of puffs. The number of puffs is the number of times you can extract or "hit" vapor from your disposable vape. For example, a shot of 600 should roughly equal 600 inhalations or shots from that unit.

However, it is important to note that the puff numbers are very loose numbers and the way they are measured or estimated may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. In our experience, the number of puffs is often a bit exaggerated - either because manufacturers inflate the numbers for marketability reasons, or because they assume that most vapers take very light puffs. Therefore, if you take long puffs with your Elf Bar vape pen, you can expect the number of puffs you get to be less than the number advertised by the manufacturer.

We have created the table below with all available Elfbar vape models (at the time of writing), their draw numbers and the expected number of days of use depending on the different vape styles.

It's important to note that the information below is based on our team's vaping experience and estimates of average puffs for different vaping styles. We've used the highest nicotine strength available as a base, so if your vape has a lower nicotine strength, you can expect fewer days of vaping as you'll likely be vaping more often.

Also note that the table does not take into account possible puff puffs. So if you want to be safe, we recommend that you deduct a day from the low suction models and at least a few days from the larger models.

Because we calculate based on the maximum available nicotine strength, we assumed that a heavy vaper would get 300 hits per day (approximately one hit every three minutes for 16 hours per day). For casual vapers, we went with 50 hits per day - about three hits per hour. The average vaper should fit somewhere within this range.

The reality of how many hits people get varies from person to person. For example, if you only vape once a day or during smoke breaks at work, you can expect your Elf Bars to last much longer than the estimates above.

Elf Bars have a shelf life of up to two years after production if stored in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight. This assumes that the battery is not empty. The only thing in an Elf Bar that can expire or spoil is the vape juice.

Technically, e-liquid can go bad. But that is not the same as food spoiling. Vape juice (including nicotine salt) is very durable. It may even change color and turn brown over time, but that doesn't mean it's expired. In general, e-liquid lasts as long as the first ingredient "expires". As a rule of thumb, this will be a maximum of two years from the date of production.

If your appliance tastes bad or doesn't work, it's best to throw it away and buy a new one.

The disposable Elf Bar will flash its indicator light when it needs to be charged or when it has run out of vape juice. It is important to note that not all Elf Bars are refillable. See our table above to see if yours is rechargeable or not.

Charging time varies by Elf Bar model. The general rule of thumb is 30-90 minutes, depending on the mAh rating of the Elf Bar and how empty it is. The lowest mAh requires the shortest charging time and the highest mAh requires the longest. The average time for charging 650 mAh is about an hour.

As with most modern electronic devices, Elf Bars charge via USB-C ports. USB-C charging cables differ from traditional micro USB cables because the plug is symmetrical and oval. Micro USB cables have an asymmetrical shape with a flat side that always appears upside down on the first try. USB-C cables work on the first try.

On all Elf Bar rechargeable disposables, there will be a visible USB-C port, usually on the bottom of the device - not to be confused with an airflow hole.

However, the Elf Bar disposables do not come with a charging cable. Most people now have USB-C charging cables nearby. If not, you can buy one at any store that sells electronics, even gas stations and pharmacies.

As mentioned, you charge the Elf Bar like any other small electronic device. All vapes, regardless of Elf Bars, are powered by lithium-ion batteries. Be as careful as usual when handling small electronic devices with batteries and their respective power sources.
