Office uses Microsoft Authenticode technology to enable Makrestrader to sign a file or macro project digitally.
After installing your digital certificate you can sign files and macro projects.
Obtaining a digital certificate for signature
You can get a digital certificate from a commercial certificate authority (CA) or from your internal security manager or information technology (IT) professional.
See the list of for more information about certificate authorities offering services to Microsoft productsMicrosoft Root Certificate Program -members.
Making your own digital certificate for self -reporting
You can also create your own self -signing certificate using the Selfcert.exe tool.
Remark:Because a digital certificate that you make is not issued by a formal certificate authority, macro projects are signed using such a certificate as self -bound projects.Certificate shop.

Fix the problem
I cannot change my macro security settings
Some users may not be able to change the institutions for the trust center due to the security policy in their organizations.
What happened to the very long, high, medium and low security settings?
Excel 2003 option | Excel 2007/2010/2013/2016 Equivalent | More information |
---|---|---|
Very high | Switch off all macros without a review | In Excel 2003, VBA-Macros can only be performed if the trust is all installed add-in and templates (in Excel 2003, the Trusted Publishers are the tab in the security dialog) and the macros (signed or not signed) are stored in a single specific trustedfolder on the user's hard drive. If all these conditions are not met, VBA -Macros cannot be performed under the institution, very high security in Excel 2003. |
High | Switch off all macros, except digitally signed macros | In Excel 2003, executable files (such as .exe or .com) must be signed by a recognized trusted source (that is, they have to have a reliability certificate) to turn.Without warning the user when these documents are opened. All Office 2003 programs are installed with macro security set to high as standard. |
Medium | Switch off all macros with assessment | In Excel 2003, users are asked to switch on or disable executable files when a document is opened. Subsequent requests to perform a macro from a trusted source are automatically accepted (the executable file runs without praying the user). |
Lav | Enable all macros (not recommended; potentially dangerous code can be performed) | In Excel 2003 all macros are performed without restrictions. |
