Apple has revealed that affected devices fromiPhone XSiPhone XS Max and iPhone XR manufactured between January 2019 and October 2019 are eligible for the free battery replacement program. The company said: “Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will replace eligible battery cases free of charge.”
It should be noted that onlyiPhone XS, iPhone XS Max en iPhone XRproduced between the specified date will be part of the process. No other iPhone Smart Battery Cases are included in this program.

You must then make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store.
Please note that the Smart Battery Case will be inspected by an Apple Authorized Service Provider prior to service to confirm eligibility for this program.
In the blog post, Apple noted that it may limit the repair to the original country or region of purchase of the product. This means that if you bought an iPhone XR from India, the battery replacement process can only be done in the country. The company also said that this global Apple program does not extend the standard warranty of the Smart Battery Case.
