For Motorsport fans, this city does not need an introduction in the Highland County of South Central Florida.
Sebring was founded in the years 1910 by a ceramic manufacturer of Ohio who had a new approach to urban design.
I am a fool for quirky stories such as this and was happy to find a flourishing center with many inviting small companies.
Sebring is located on the south side of Lake Wales Ridge, an elevated region with many rarely native animal life.Discovered this close to Airboat Tours or in the amazing Highland Hangock State Park.
1. Sebring International Raceway
Bron: Action Sports Photography / ShutterstockOn a former WWII Army Air Corps -Basis, Sebring International Raceway is one of the oldest racing tracks in the country, in constant use since 1950.
Unlike other popular Renways, Sebring is a challenging 3.7-meijlen course full of tight turns and links.
The 12 hours in Sebring, the Raceway Signature event, will take place in the third week of March and dates from the year that the circuit has been opened.
This is my ideal time to be in Sebring.Race weekend includes live entertainment, family activities and also a lot of good food and drinks.
2. Highlands Hammock State Park

Highland's Hammock State Park, which includes 9,000 hectares, is crucial for its old growth position and an abundance of rare and endemic species unparalleled in any other Staatspark in Florida.
In my opinion, what makes this place important, are old growth-forest habitats, including awesome cypress marsh, with great age-old trees.
Because of this otherwise, you can pass on an elevated promenade.When you walk, you see some trees that defy faith, such as a 1000 year old live oak, supposed to be the largest in Florida.
If you have two wheels, there is a cycling loop of three miles.
3. Sebring i centrum
If you are some reason to visit the historic heart of Sebring, to get an idea of the strange layout, it would be worth it.
As a frustrated city planner, the unusual design and the violent architecture dating from the 1910s makes infinitely fascinating.
What I found here was a robust central commercial district with many shops, galleries, entertainment sites and restaurants in the central circle and radiant streets.
I want to talk about a few later on this list, while in the core there is an idyllic small park with benches under the front of a few stashal live trees trees.
4. Lake Jackson & City Pier Beach
A few steps from Sebring Center, behind the Civic Center, you can enter the beautiful Bank of Lake Jackson.
Opposite a magical sunset, this can be my favorite part of the entire city.
Here too there are picnic tables and playground equipment, because it extends from the center of the park is a pier.
5. Weigle House Museum
In addition to the Highland Art League building, this Historic House Museum is run by the Sebring Historical Society.
A good friend of the founder of the city, George Sebring, Dr.Charles F. Weigle (1871-1966) was a prominent evangelist and songwriter at the beginning of the 20th century.
He built this house in Bungalow style in Lake Jackson in 1922, during a mini development group in the city in you.
I enjoyed the exhibitions that watched the 12 -hour Sebring Race, Army Air Corps Training School at Hendricks Field in the Second World War, CCC and the report between Weigle and Sebring families.
6. Airboat Wildlife Adventures
To the southeast of Sebring is the 28,000 Target Lake Istokpoga, the fifth largest organ of fresh water in Florid.Despite the enormous area, this is an extremely low lake with an average depth of only four meters.

7. Highlands Lakeside Theatre

In fact, there are two performance rooms here at Lakeside Playhouse and the adjacent Thakk -Paviljoen from the 2000s.
The theater offers a tightly packaged season of Broadway musicals, comedies and dramas.Every time you visit Sebring, it is very likely that there will be a show here.
I was here for a rolling version of the Sisteract de Musical. Als was done so well, I had to remind myself that it was a social production.
8. Military Sea Services Museum

The museum is in their head office and keeps and promotes the story of the maritime forces of the country.This includes the Navy, the Marines and the Coast Guard.
The museum is free to visit and fills every corner of this hall with artifacts and memorabilia.
The doctrine of the museum is veterans and gives you a fascinating perspective in the exhibitions.
9. Highlands Museum of the Arts

When I was in the city, the most important exhibition space was the historic Clovelly House, in 1971 Lakeview Dr. de Highlands Art League, which controls these shows, also takes lessons for different skills, including oil painting and ceramics.
Moreover, the competition organizes the annual Sebring Arts & Crafts Festival, which has been in more than half a century.
10. Civilt Conservation Corps Museum
The Highland Hammock State Park was opened in 1931 and was one of the eight state parks in Florida developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).
This was an initiative for the depression era, giving the unemployed the opportunity to work on public projects for outside.
There is a museum in the park that is reminiscent of the history of CCC in Sunshine State in a building designed by the corps.
The best for me was the theater that showed oral stories of the people who developed places like this Staatspark.
11. Lost Mines of Atlantis
This sweet attraction/shop on the road can be found in the south of Segging.Mijnen from Atlantis is a hit in children thanks to the gem mine experience where they can become an hour or two prospectus.
You can buy a small or large bucket and hunt for precious stones and fossils.At the end, the friendly staff will help you with the ID and feel your finds.
With a new feeling of time, the gift shop is full of unique mineral oriented gifts and jewelry.
12. River Greens Golf Course
Bron: Prestige863 / ShutterstockThe Sebring Area is just as famous for golf as for motorsport, with ten excellent jobs to play on Citrus Golf Trail.
My priority would be the golf course of River Green, which was opened in 1969 in nearby Avon Park.
If you keep nothing but cut off with a driver, this is a course for you.
13. Sebring Soda & Ice Cream Works
Something unique on the south side of the circle of Sebring is an ice bar and soft drink.
In a historic commercial building from 1922, this company has more than 300 carbonated drinks from all over the world, all in glass containers.
There are also 40+ flavors of wonderfully creamy ice cream.Of course the best you can do in a place like this to get an old -modified ice float.
14. Children's museum of the Hooglands
Downtown offers this attraction an educational and creative environment for children up to 12 years old.
The Children's Museum of the Highlands is about interactive game, with exhibitions that promote curiosity and imagination.
Along these lines there is a puppet theater, children's theater, puzzle area, a sensory area in soft games and a number of rooms that recreate everyday environments, such as a hospital, restaurant, branch of opening, a farm and a kitchen.
In addition, there is a timetable for programs, from seasonal theme days to -time, with crafts and stories on Thursday, September to May.
15. Sebring Soda Fest
Sebring Soda Fest, called Florida's Fizziest Festival, was a relatively new event when I put this article together.This soft drink is launched just before the Pandemie and finds Extravaganza for two days in April.
Fancy, soft drinks are everything that is furious at the moment, and soft drinks have 200+ varieties to try.
There are also a number of food trucks with a fair style and family activities, live music and a wide selection of wine and beers for adults.
