I also have the iPhone 13 Pro Max. My battery status is at 98% after 4 months of use.

Battery status and performance

Your battery is fine under normal use. iPhone batteries, like all rechargeable batteries, are consumable parts that become less efficient as they age. You should replace the battery when the battery status drops below 80%, which will last more than 2 years under normal use. Until then, enjoy your iPhone.

My iPhone 13 pro max has a battery status of 89% after 4.5 months. I use the wireless charging pad at night. This may have something to do with the rapid degradation of the battery. I've been using an iPhone for a long time, so I get a new one every year. I'm not too concerned about the health of the battery as I'm getting a new one in September. I notice that the battery doesn't last that long anymore.

I use the standard 5W charger and plug it in every night. I'm using the optimized battery charging feature in the settings and right now, after just over a year of daily use, I have a 100% battery status. I think faster charging takes a toll on the battery itself.13 pro max battery shows 99% after two... (6)

So what is your question. There is nothing wrong with it if it shows 99% after two months. Batteries are consumables, so as you use them, battery life will decrease based on the number of full charge cycles. Apple does not consider a battery problem unless the battery status reaches 80% before the end of one year. Nothing to see here.

besides, my camera opens by itself at least 10 times a day

Batteries are consumables; each time they are discharged and then recharged, they lose some capacity. On average, this results in a loss of approximately 1% for every 25 "full charge cycles". For example, if you charge the phone overnight every night (and that's what you should do; it's a best practice), the day will start at 100%. If it drops to 20% at the end of the day before you recharge it overnight, that counts as 0.8 full charge cycles (20% to 100%) or about 24 full charge cycles per day. month of use. In this example, your battery capacity loses approximately 1% per month. If the end-of-day level is higher than 20%, the capacity loss will obviously be a little less, and if it is lower than 20%, or if you charge it during the day, the capacity loss will be higher.

When capacity drops below 80%, or a message appears in Battery Health that the battery is not meeting peak performance expectations, it's time to replace the battery →Replace iPhone battery - Official Apple Support

The absolute best way to get the most out of a charge and to slow the decline in battery capacity in the long term is to enable optimized battery charging (Settings/Battery/Battery Mode) and turn the device on every night to charge overnight. The battery charges quickly to 80% and then pauses. During sleep, the phone uses AC power instead of battery power, allowing the battery to "rest", reducing the need to charge the battery as often. The phone will resume charging to reach 100% when you are ready to use your phone; it will "learn" your usage pattern. If you turn on iCloud Backup (Settings/[your name]/iCloud - iCloud Backup), your phone will also be backed up overnight so you never lose more than the current day's updates. Waiting until your battery drops to 20% won't charge your phone better, but it will charge slower and use more of your charging cycles. Check out these two Apple support documents on batteries, charging, and maximizing battery life.

I know this, bruh! But a 1% drop in just six days is very worrying

But how long before that did it fall at all? The decline in battery status is not linear. It could stay the same for weeks or months and then drop a few percentage points.

and I use a 5W charger!
my brightness is always at 0. I never let my phone raise its head

Unless those friends have the exact same apps on their phones, use them in the exact same places as you, for the exact same amount of time, and receive the same number of calls with the exact same signal strength, there's no comparison.

I already gave you a link on how to charge the battery, but if you missed it, here it is again:

When to charge your iPhone or iPad - Apple Community

Check out the information in this article about optimized battery charging.

You must understand that the capacity of your battery decreases no matter what you do. There is nothing you can do to change it and very little you can do to slow it down. What you see is normal, expected behavior.

My advice, which I know you won't follow, is to stop worrying about it. Check the condition of the battery again before the warranty expires. If it is lower than 80%, have Apple replace it. Unless you are experiencing a problem with your battery, don't even look at the battery status.

I'm quite worried because I always pay special attention to my phone's battery. I had posted here a week ago that my battery health had just dropped to 99% after 3 months. So after 3 days it came down to 98%, which surprised me, and just now I checked the 97%.

Then after 3 months 100% to 99%, then after 3 days 98% and then after 4 days 97%.

I need some suggestions, I don't like this, I'm sad right now.13 pro max battery shows 99% after two... (14)

Don't worry, it just took some time to calibrate the battery percentage on your phone and that's why it dropped suddenly.

I use 13 pro max and bought it on 25/12/2021... BH dropped 99% on 15/5/2022

Then 98% on 07-09-2022 Now 97% on 18-8-2022 Battery backup is fine, still don't know what's next🫤

for my 13 pro max i use my old 5w charger.

is there a problem?

and I also have a 20W charger which is better for good battery health, 5W or 20W.

Whenever I have purchased so far I only use a 5W charger.

Is there a problem with charging overnight?

If you're charging overnight, the 5W charger is all you need; the phone will be fully charged in the morning. But both are safe to use. Turn on Optimized Battery Charging and consider turning on automatic iCloud backup so that your phone is backed up overnight every night it's plugged in.

No, how you charge it has nothing to do with it. I use a wireless charging pad every night and have done so for over 3 years. My battery status is 94%. It is more likely that your battery is defective; after 4.5 months this would be expected to be more than 96% with normal use. Use the Contact Support link to have Apple check this for you.

I have an iPhone 13 pro max that was purchased exactly 3 months (90 days) ago and now the battery status today is only 99 percent. So it seems to be ok compared to the post I read here. I use a 30W anchor charger along the original charging cable that comes in the box.

FAQs

Is it normal for iPhone battery health to be 99% after 2 months? ›

So what is your question. There is nothing wrong with it showing 99% after two months. Batteries are consumable, so as you use them, battery health will decline, based on the number of full charge cycles. Apple does not consider a battery problem unless the battery health gets to 80% before the end of one year.

Why did my battery capacity go down to 99? ›

Your phone's maximum battery capacity goes down over time. New iPhones typically come with a 100% capacity, but charge cycles and potential damage (like exposing your phone to extreme temperatures) reduce the capacity. As your battery's health declines, so does its ability to deliver maximum performance.

Why is my iPhone battery percentage stuck at 99? ›

Step 1: Drain your iPhone's battery until it shuts down. Step 2: Wait for a few hours then charge it with an original Apple charger. Step 3: When it turns on itself, disconnect Wi-Fi and Cellular connection and put it into Airplane Mode. Step 4: Let it fully charge itself without playing it.

Can iPhone battery health go back to 100%? ›

An iPhone battery will degrade with use. You can't get it back to 100%. You can expect a 1 - 2% drop each month. When the battery health gets to 80% or less, get a new battery.

What kills iPhone battery health? ›

It's especially important to avoid exposing your device to ambient temperatures higher than 35° C (95° F), which can permanently damage battery capacity. That is, your battery won't power your device as long on a given charge. Charging the device in high ambient temperatures can damage it further.

What is the best battery setting for iPhone 13 Pro Max? ›

Enable Low Power Mode.

Your iPhone lets you know when your battery level goes down to 20%, and again at 10%, and lets you turn on Low Power Mode with one tap. Or you can enable it by going to Settings > Battery. Low Power Mode reduces display brightness, optimizes device performance, and minimizes system animations.

Why is my 13 Pro Max battery draining so fast? ›

The reasons behind the iPhone 13 Pro Max battery draining fast are somewhat similar to the iPhone 13 Pro. Factors include intensive background app activity, 5G connectivity, and high screen brightness settings.

How do I test my iPhone 13 Pro Max battery? ›
