This list contains spoilers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If you haven't seen the films yet, really look forward to themWrekers:Last game, please proceed with caution.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) spans 23 films to date and features some of Marvel's most popular characters in individual films, as well as the Avengers ensemble films. For the most part, most of the Avengers in the MCU appear to age normally and have standard ages. However, few non-humans and superhumans are much older. The ages on this list are based on official MCU birth dates released or educated guesses based on the information provided. Also in the context of this list, an Avenger is any hero who answered the call to help fight ThanosWrekers:Last game.

As of September 2020, the information on this list is as accurate as possible and will be updated as necessary.

10. Iron Man (Anthony Edward ‘Tony’ Stark)

Iron Man, also known as Tony Stark, was 53 years old during the events ofWrekers:Last game, but at the end of the film he sacrificed his life. Stark was a founding member of the Avengers and appeared in all the Avengers films as well as the three Iron Man films. Although Stark survived Thanos' rift, he chose to retire as a hero to raise his daughter with Pepper Potts. Of course, Stark rejoins the Avengers and ultimately makes the ultimate sacrifice to save the universe, leaving a lasting legacy both in the world of the MCU and in the real world.

9. Ant-Man (Scott Edward Harris Lang

Antman, Scott Lang, is another Avenger on this list whose official MCU birth date has not been revealed. Instead, Ant-Man's current age is based on the age of actor Paul Rudd, who will turn 54 in 2023. When he's not wearing the Ant-Man suit, Scott Lang is a completely normal human and appears to be aging regularly. Lang spent a long time in the quantum realm, which may have affected his physiology and the way he aged. At this time, the future of the Avengers and Ant-Man's involvement with the team is unknown.

Scott Lang is the first character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to take on the mantle of a former superhero since Hank Pym is the original Ant-Man.

8. Hulk (Robert Bruce Banner)

Hulk(Bruce Banner) is the third oldest founding member of the Avengers, after Thor and Captain America. After surviving the Thanos statue, Banner is approximately 54 years oldWrekers:Last game. Despite being able to transform into a large and powerful superhuman, Banner appears to age normally even though he is not in his Hulk form. After Thanos' snap, Banner made the decision to permanently merge with the Hulk and remained in this form the entire timeLast game. No one knows how Hulk/Banner will age in the future.

Hulk is one of three main characters in the MCU to defeat the main antagonist in their debut film without any help, the others being Ant-Man and Spider-Man.

7. War Machine (James Rupert "Rhodey" Rhodes)

War machine, Colonel James Rhodes and Iron Man's close friend, is another regular human member of the Avengers who is in his 50s. Like Iron Man, War Machine's power comes from armor created by Tony Stark. Throughout the MCU films he appears in, War Machine's armor and weapons become more refined. INWrekers:Last game, War Machine has a sleeker and more powerful appearance, similar to the Iron Man suit. ForLast gameWar Machine didn't usually play a major role during Avengers missions.

War Machine is the longest-serving Avenger, having joined in 2015 and serving continuously until the team was disbanded in 2023, due to him signing the Sokovia Accords and being a survivor of Thanos' Snap.

6. Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers)

Captain Marvel, real name Carol Danvers, does not yet have an official birth date in the MCU. During her debut film, it is mentioned that she was born sometime in the mid-1960s, which would make her approximately 58 years old during the 1960s.Wrekers:Last game. After Danvers gained alien energy and became Captain Marvel, it appears she has stopped aging. So far it is unknown if Captain Marvel has stopped aging completely, or if her aging has just slowed down significantly like Captain America. INLast game, Captain Marvel still seems to be in his late twenties/early thirties. Furthermore, it appears that Captain Marvel will not be a permanent member of the Avengers, as other planets need her help more than Earth.

Captain Marvel is the fourth character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe whose powers come from an Infinity Stone, after Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Vision.

5. Nick Fury

Although he's not technically an Avenger,Nick Furyis the founder of the team and often assists in their missions. Fury was one of the victims of the Thanos snap and lost five years, making him only 68Wrekers:Last game. In the early MCU films, Fury was not as heavily involved in the team's activities, but in more recent films such asCaptain Marvel, he has been shown as the main character. Fury is a normal human, but is stronger and more resilient than the average person.

Nick Fury is one of the few MCU characters modeled after his Ultimate comic version, who is ironically modeled after Fury's actor, Samuel L. Jackson (this predates the MCU films and the Ultimate comic Nick Fury even says he before Samuel L. Jackson would choose to play him in a movie).

4. Vintersoldat (James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes)

Bucky Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier, and Captain America's best friend was born a year before Captain America. However, Bucky got lost during Thanos' snap and is only 101 years old when he goes back into hidingWrekers:End of game. Like Captain America, Bucky was genetically altered by experiments that gave him superhuman abilities. Unlike Captain America, Bucky unwittingly underwent these procedures at the hands of the Soviet Union and HYDRA. He was also brainwashed and used as a weapon to do HYDRA's bidding. Bucky was eventually healed by T'Challa's (Black Panther) sister, Shuri, and joined the Avengers.

In the MCU, Bucky Barnes is also nicknamed The White Wolf, an homage to the comic book character, an alien adopted by T'Chaka (T'Challa's father), who became an antihero and leader of the Hatut Zeraze.

3. Captain America (Steven Grant 'Steve' Rogers)

From the people on the Avengers team,Capturing Americais the oldest at 105 years during the events ofWrekers:Last game. As anyone who has seen the Captain America films knows, Captain America's extreme age and youthful appearance is due to accidentally being frozen under ice in a state of suspended animation.

While the super soldier serum that gave Captain America his strength and durability does not completely prevent aging, it does slow the negative effects of the aging process. This, combined with a frozen period of 66 years, prevented Captain America from aging. However, after Captain America was brought back to life, he began to age fairly normally and is an old man by the end of the filmWrekers:Last gameafter he decided to stay with Peggy Carter in 1949.

While 105 is the logical age for Captain America and is widely accepted by fans, script notes showWrekers:Last game,Captain America is actually 112 years oldsince he's technically only 39 before he goes back in time to stay with Peggy.

2. Thor

Thoris the oldest official Avenger, about 1,505 years old. During the film he mentions his age for the first timeWrekers:Infinite war, which would place his date of birth around 518 AD. However, some sources say that Thor's birth date is around 965 AD, but this could be information from the comics. Regardless, this would still mean that Thor is significantly older than all the other major Avengers. After the events ofWrekers:Last gameit appears that Thor is no longer a member of the main Avengers group when he left with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Thor has a short film calledTeam Thorof (While you were fightingofTeam Thor: Civil War), a mockumentary-style short film showing why he wasn't present during the events ofCapturing America:Civil war(Even though it wasn't an official Avengers movie, it changed the team's dynamic). In the short film, Thor is seen living in an apartment in Australia with a random office worker named Darryl Jacobson.

1. Valkyrie (Brunhilde)

Valkyrie, whose real name is Brunhilde, is the oldest Avenger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at just over 1,500 years old.Although Valkyrie's exact age is unknown at this time, she is much older than Thor, who is said to be around 1,500 years old. Brunhilde was already a Valkyrie when Thor's older sister, Hela, went mad. The last of the Valkyries, Brunhilde is known simply as Valkyrie. Although her future status as an official Avenger is unknown, Valkyrie is the King of New Asgard, as Thor has chosen to join the Guardians of the Galaxy.
